Hang In There!

“And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Lord, wherefore hast thou so evil entreated this people? why is it that thou hast sent me? For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast thou delivered thy people at all.” (Exodus 5:22-23)

“Then the LORD said unto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land.” (Exodus 6:1)

Moses was sent by God to free the children of Israel from 400 years of bondage.  God showed Moses his power, and reassured him that their freedom would come to pass, but he lacked faith. When things didn’t go the way Moses thought it would, he doubted God. But don’t be so hard on Moses. We’re no better. We’ll pray for something or someone and think all will be well. We’ve done exactly what God wanted and the way He asked and so on. But the prayer didn’t turn out in our time in our way. We question God, why?  Now please re-read Exodus 6:1. It says, “Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh.”

Think with me if you will. The people were praying all those year to be free. Who do you think would get the praise if Moses said lets go, and they left?  Moses, of course. It wouldn’t be by the hand of God that they would go, but Moses. God wanted to prove His love for His children by providing the impossible. God not only wanted to show His love, He wanted to destroy forever the very thing that hurt them, and He still works the same today.

What are you facing? What have you been praying for? When things look like it’s all over, hang in there. God is getting ready to work His will for you. He loves you and only wants the best for His children.  Just hang in there!

Thank You
