Proverbs 6 always grabs my attention. Back in the days before I really understood about salvation I guess I thought that good people will go to heaven; people that don't commit the "really bad sins". All sin separates us from God. It is obvious from this passage that we don't see things as God does. Who is not guilty of these sins, a little white lie, being all puffed up, hurting someone that is totally undeserving and so on? I think on these when I feel the need to help get the mote out of someones eye that I'd best worry how the Father sees me and stop looking at the other guy. I am so thankful that the Lord has provided way of salvation that doesn't depend on anything that I do or don't do because I fall desperately short.
